All experience is an arch wherethrough gleams that untravelled world whose margin fades for ever and for ever when I move
Alfred Lord Tennyson
call me crazy but right now the temptation to drop out of university and move far far away is overwhelming. Not because I have any particular issue with uni, or even my life in England for that matter (for once), but I can't help but think I'm kind of wasting my time and perhaps...my potential? I was once told that I was destined to be exactly where I am today and that university was the best place for someone like me to flourish. I'm having my doubts. My mission has always been to eliminate any barriers and limits that one usually has in life, consequently realising the true potential and beauty of the world - can I really do that in an establishment which restricts me so? And I don't mean mentally, I go to one of the best universities in the country and their ability for unlocking hidden mental talent is amazing, no I don't mean that at all. It's the physical restriction which I feel is holding me back. It's clear to anyone with the faintest idea of psychology that our environment impacts on our potential as human beings and I can't help but feel that I'd be more productive elsewhere...alone and away from the pressures of social conformities, friends, families etc etc. And at the same time that's the very last thing I want.
The joys of being an overtired, overworked, overactive person. Add the genetic bipolar disorder and you've got yourself a brilliant cocktail which could either turn out to be brilliant or an utter disaster. Yeah, we'll see how that goes.
On a lighter note, and I'm assuming that anyone that looks at this has probably skipped that little rant up there...
here's a blog for you to look at if you're ever feeling sorry for yourself.
now don't take this lightly because I'm not a fan of sob stories, but this blog is genuinely good for the soul, and this woman has to be the only person in the world to see the (albeit few) funny sides of cancer.
Meet Sophie Beresiner. You may recognise the name from Look, as she's the beauty editor, hence the many posts on all things beauty related. But seriously, check it out if you're ever feeling so, and this will remind you to keep a positive outlook on life (she also has millions of tips for sprucing yourself up)
